Die ENABLE!-Werkstatt ist zurück....

...und hat ein spannendes Thema mitgebracht: Die Digital Humanities und ihr Publikationswesen. Mit der Zeitschrift "Journal of Digital History" und dem Verlag Melusina Press präsentieren sich zwei scholar-led Open-Access-Publikationsorte, die mutig und experimentierfreudig neue Wege beim digitalen Publizieren gehen. Sie stehen für verschiedene Perspektiven und Problemlösungsansätze des eigeninitiativen Publizierens aus der Wissenschaft, sind klar profiliert und setzen eindeutige Schwerpunkte. Gleichzeitig sind sie nahe an den oder Teil der Digital Humanities und begleiten diese in der Entwicklung der Diskurse sowie neuer, innovativer Publikationsformen. Wie das in der Praxis aussieht und wie die Zusammenarbeit konkret funktioniert, davon berichtet die AG “Digitales Publizieren” der Digital Humanities in Deutschland. Und natürlich wollen wir Fragen stellen: Wie  kann die Zukunft des digitalen Publizierens in den Humanities aussehen, welche Beiträge leisten die Verlage/Zeitschriften für die verknüpften Fächer und welchen Einfluss wiederum haben die Digital Humanities auf “ihre” Verlags-/Publikationswelt?

The ENABLE! workshop is back...

...and has brought an exciting topic with it: digital humanities and their publishing practices. With the Journal of Digital History and Melusina Press, two scholar-led open access publications are presenting themselves that are boldly and experimentally breaking new ground in digital publishing. They represent different perspectives and approaches to problem-solving in self-initiated publishing in academia, have a clear profile, and set clear priorities. At the same time, they are close to or part of the digital humanities and accompany them in the development of discourse and new, innovative forms of publication. The Digital Humanities in Germany working group “Digital Publishing” reports on what this looks like in practice and how the collaboration works in concrete terms. And, of course, we want to ask questions: What might the future of digital publishing in the humanities look like, what contributions do publishers/journals make to the related disciplines, and what influence do the digital humanities have on “their” publishing world?

Aufgrund der Internationalität der Referent*innen findet die Veranstaltung diesmal vorrangig auf Englisch statt!
